I had a very large dog who got very sick and could not get up or walk without assistance. A friend loaned me a life-saving thing called a Help Em Up Harness. It consists of a part that supports a dog's chest and a second part that supports the pelvis, and they clip together. But because my poor boy could not help peeing on himself, the pelvis-portion of the harness would get soaked in urine and I needed another one so I could rotate them in the wash.

I kept a few on hand (both indoors and outdoors, he would drag himself around and it would consistently fall off and he would often get it dirty or soil it, but it was easy to soak/clean). The only thing I noticed in having multiple harnesses, each one was made a bit differently. The straps could only be used on the one it came with. This wasn't a huge issue, but I found it to be odd. Sadly, my pup recently passed away after fighting DM for the past year, but I'm grateful that this harness was still able to allow him to be mobile with my assistance.

But this harness is great!! I can lift him up easily, and support him so that he can poop in peace like a dignified gentleman :) I may have cried a little when I saw this was going to work :) Would definitely recommend!
