   I was really tired of the stemmed glasses on the market with the rounded curve top. I wanted something different so I ordered these. So many comments and compliments from friends when I pull them out to use. The functionality is the same or better, one of my friends told me she liked it because there was more room for the aromatics when you took your drink.

   This modern take on the typical red wine glass is beautiful and a pleasure to use. I don't think I want to use them on my deck table that seems to be a little unstable, but for the dinner table or a drinks party these glasses are just the ticket. They "swirl" nicely too and aerate the wine as it should be done.n Stem is a little more robust than what the picture looks like. An elegant stemware! I'll be back for other sizes. I am very glad I purchased these glasses.

   They are nice glasses for sorta everyday use. Meaning a bit too thin and fragile for rough use, but not Supra-fancy. They were bigger than I thought they would be, but still a very good glass. And since they are large, it allows your whole hand inside for easy cleaning.The one thing is that even though the angle at the bottom of the bowl looks great, it does not allow swirling of the wine very well.

   These glasses are well made and the glass is thin. It feels very luxurious to use. But, we didn't realize before we got them that the "Extreme" Riedel glasses are larger than your "standard" glass. This helps with allowing you to enjoy the nose of a wine, and their red varietal versions of these glasses allow for the wine to breathe better. But, for us, I was surprised at how large they really are.

   Worth every penny. You should purchase the these glasses if you enjoy wine just read a product review or description. Says something akin to you should purchase a wine glass that is equivalent to the expense of wine you typically buy. basically if you like expensive one or if you savor wine and especially buy an expensive bottle... buy a wine glass that will only enrich the taste! Riedel is and will always be the one and only for me.

   Our winemaker friends gave us a bunch of Riedel wine glasses for our wedding, and years later we still use and love them. The only bummer is that they need to be hand washed, so we also got some "break resistant" glasses for ordinary use. There's a difference. If you have a nice bottle or really just want to enjoy the wine fully, it's worth the investment.We gave these cabernet glasses as a gift - they can be used for a variety of wines. If you're just going to get one type of glass, these would be my recommendation. Forget the smaller ones and stemless (what's the point, unless you're on a boat?). Just be extra careful when washing them. One touch against the faucet or sink and it will probably break.
