I'll admit to being a little skeptical that this tool would really work, but after seeing the video on YouTube I figured I'd give it a try. I'm OK with a knife, but somehow I always get some of the cob along with the kernels when I cut off the corn. This tool eliminates that, and it really worked. here in the south, we favor Silver Queen or King white sweet corn, and those cobs are usually smaller, especially at the top. Even so, this tool worked well. You go back later and milk the cob anyway, so the little bit that didn't get cut gets taken care of then. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves fresh corn. I used it on raw corn, but I can see how it would be great used on grilled corn for a salad too.

Even though I have not used this corn stripper as of yet I know it will work I have looked at a lot of them and none had as sharp as blade as this one does and the fact that when you strip the corn it is not going to go all over the place it is contained in the tube . Also this is very solid container and the blade sharp so I'm really looking forward to use this. I freeze a lot of corn so this is going to be so much better that using the knife and wiping up all the splatter juice and corn all over. So I have no problem giving it a five star just the way it is made and the sharp blade and heavy container hope this helps .

This is one of my favorite purchases. I did not expect it to work like in the picture but to my surprise, it did. My husband was in the habit of tediously cutting his corn off the cob, so I got this little device so I could do it for him when serving dinner, and it works just as described. You put the cooked corn on the cob on the spikes in the cylinder, put the cap on, making sure the cob is centered, then turn the top and the corn comes off nice and evenly. For creamed corn, I run a butter knife over the cob afterwards and add it to the kernels. It is yummy that way. Not at all like what they call creamed corn in a can.
