The wife's bike was a little heavier than I expected lol. Trying to get that up while standing on a ladder with a 5yo asking "Daddy can I help" while trying to climb on the other side of the ladder was a chore. I would recommend having someone help lift an adults bike up to it.

Easy to install, we purchased a 3/4” x 12” pine board that we painted white. I used 2.5” screws, screwing the pine board directly into the studs to hang the board. All 5 bicycle hooks were screwed 16” on center into studs. I didn’t use the wall anchors. I wouldn’t use the anchors to affix the bike hooks into dry wall. The bicycles are heavy and I wouldn’t trust wall anchors in dry wall. This set up is VERY sturdy and saves a ton of space.

The kit came with hardware to be able to mount them onto drywall studs, though I’m not sure I would have put this much weight on one drywall section. That said, I would recommend them to anyone.
