Why wouldn't mold built up?Clean glass, clean water, everything visible and pure. Coffee tasted the same. I'm not saying I will never go back to using coffee machines, but this is a pleasant change. I left one star off because although it's not hard to pour, a handle would have been nice. The cork covering comes off easily and is just so charming! Love this little coffee maker!

   If you change coffee brands you will most likely have to start all over again. I have only brewed 4 mugs at the moment. I am retired so I don't need to get quickly moving and have time to brew coffee. I think it takes about 5 to 6 minutes in total to get a finished flask of coffee, Weight beans/grind beans/boil water and do the pour over. But it works great for me.
