Circular Saw Guide Table Rail Track

The Circular Table Saw Guide Rail Track was designed to help turn your circular saw into a precision cutting tool that provides straight, accurate, reliable, and repeatable cuts in plywood and sheet goods.

Features:

  • The circular saw guide helps make straight, accurate, repeatable cuts without measuring, marking, or having to keep the saw on the cut line. Our saw guide does this with a long edge guide that follows the straight edge of the sheet you are cutting.
  • So, all you have to do is lock the saw in at the measurement you want—from 36″ to 53″—using the built-in measuring scale and then make your cut.

  • Part of all, this skill saw guide is very easy to use. Simply mount your saw to the universal sled on the circular saw track—it accepts most left-blade or right-blade saws—and then slide the sled onto the aluminum rail.
  • Then, just hold the edge guide against the edge of your sheet as you guide the saw. With our circular saw guide rail, you’ll straight, accurate, repeatable cuts easily every time.

  • Our table saw guide keeps and guides your circular saw straight and true while cutting, without wobble or binding. In fact, this circular saw guide clamps to most circular saws for track saw like precision

  • The saw guide in various different sizes and fits majority of left handed and right handed saws.
  • It’s as simple as clamping on the saw onto the mid-portion of the circular saw guide rail, adjusting the knobs to screw the saw in, and sawing away!

I just discovered track saws, and chose the Makita after reading reviews. I build seed-cleaning machines for my business, which entails a lot of precise cutting of 1/2" prefinished plywood, mostly clamped together to cut three sheets at a time.

It's a pretty spendy saw but the accuracy of the cut when used with the tracks is great. I've done several “final cuts” with a sheet of plywood and the results were as good as ripping it through a table saw. My workspace is very limited, making a rip cut of 8 feet in 8 feet is sweet compared to needing at least 18 feet if your using a table saw and I'm usually working by myself - a sheet of 3/4 ply can be a bear to rip by yourself.

I've been wanting to purchase a track saw for quite a while and did a bunch of research on which one to buy. Over and over skilled woodworkers and tradesmen gave glowing reviews online for the Makita. There were definitely cheaper options, but I really can't stand fighting against cheap tools when I work. So, I decided to buy the Makita and I am extremely happy with my purchase. It is easy to use and makes super clean and accurate cuts right out of the box. It has plenty of accessories which are affordable. About the only thing that I don't like is that the depth gauge is metric, but I knew that from the reviews before I purchased it.

This is my first track saw, I needed one to help break down sheet goods for a cabinet project. I did hours and hours of research, watched videos and read reviews. I considered festool, but could not justify the cost for a hobby project. I was not surprised when the saw came and I started to use it. I knew it was going to work very well....However I was surprised how many uses the saw is great at. Instead just using the saw to break down the big 4x8 sheets so that I finish on the table saw, I used the Makita track saw for all the project cutting. I had to make dozens of "strip" cuts on the sheets. Let me tell you, once I figured out how to lay out a repete cut, the saw performed perfect. VERY IMPORTANT

I give it 5 stars because its price/performance is pretty much the perfect balance. This tool is pretty much a joy to use. I wish the measurements were in inches and the score feature takes some getting used to, but other than that, it's absolutely perfect.

I love this saw - what a time saver! Perfect for cutting long pieces quickly. Have used it for ripping plywood, and for trimming long pieces of siding and molding. Set up is fast, track stays in place, and cuts are accurate and smooth. I especially prefer it over my table saw if I'm cutting a long piece where the cut is not parallel to the edge (trimming a piece to match a slope, for example). I would also recommend buying the clamps although you don't always need them since the track does a pretty good job of staying in place on its own most of the time,

this really speeds the process of making accurate cuts in plywood and sheet material. It also simplifies cabinet layout. The only downside is the spring on the trigger requires a very strong grip, the slightest relaxation immediately cuts power to the motor.

80% of what I end up sawing is plywood or paneling. On a table saw you either need someone to help you feed the plywood in or a large saw table and/or jig to cut a 4' x 8' sheet. With the track saw it's the saw that moves not the material, less chance of kick back. No more split out on the edges. I used to tape edges before I cut. Not sure why the cuts are so clean maybe the rubber edge or the sharp blade. I recommend getting the clamps and either 2 X 55" tracks with the track splicer or a 110" and a 55" track.

Amazing accuracy and nearly 100% dust free when connected to a vacuum. I compared the Makita to Triton, Dewalt, Festool and Kreg and found the Makita to be the smoothest slider to use. The Festool matched it in that area, but at a much, much higher cost. I only wish the Makita's depth of cut scale was in inches instead of millimeters, but I can live with it. I have also found Makita saw blades to provide high quality cuts as well, with great re-sharpening capability too.
