   I used to buy this product every year. However, for the past two years, the adhesive tape in this has been pretty much unusable as the paper on the side you put the plastic on does not come away cleanly, keeping the insulating plastic from sticking to it. Won't be buying this again.

If you mess up, and it isn't even just pull it back off (GENTLY) and you can re-do that part. The "wrap" and tape are pretty forgiving , so there is room for error. If you measured this right, you should have a bit of slack. There is NOTHING wrong with having a bit of slack, in fact-it's actually a great thing.

   Next, put the double sided tape on the window frame, ensuring you maintain an even line and that you get all of the frame. After that is complete, go ahead and peel the other side of the double-sided tape off. Make sure that you have completely overlapped all of the tape, you don't want any uncovered spots (you will see why shortly). The way I achieved this was by doing one side of the window at a time, and pulled just a tad of the tape off, just enough to start the new line.

This is where I screwed up, and measured the length instead. This later caused me almost end up short, but I made it work. This would have been a lot easier if I had just paid attention in that part though...

   The only tools needed for this is scissors and a hair dryer. The directions stated that you need a tape measurer, but I found this was not necessary. What I did find necessary, however, was to purchase an additional Scotch Brand Double Sided Tape. They don't give you quite enough to complete this project. I'm glad I listened to other reviewers on that part and purchased the double-sided tape. Also, I HIGHLY recommend starting with the worst offending windows first. That way, if you have issues or run out of something, at least you have the biggest problems out of the way.
