I have some UV-5Rs and love them but this UV-S9Plus for the price is far and away my new favorite. It has all the features of the UV-5R with a bigger battery, USB charging and fun colors for about five bucks more. All the UV-5R accessories work with it except the batteries and antennas. I don't use it to transmit since I am not a HAM operator but I use it to listen and the battery lasts a lot longer. You can program it with CHIRP using the Radioddity UV-5RX3 settings with no issues.
