   This simple little gadget has changed hand sewing for me. As I have gotten older, it has become harder and harder to thread a needle. I am not sure how the needle threader works, but you stick the needle in a hole with the eye down, hold the thread across a slit, push the lever, and the needle is threaded. One move pushes a loop of thread through the eye of the needle. IMPORTANT: As noted by many other reviewers, the directions on the package expressly state it works only with Clover brand needles with a round eye. It says it will not work with a slit eye. THIS IS NOT TRUE. Since all I had were slit-eye, non-qualifying needles, I tried to use it anyway. IT WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME WITH EVERY SORT OF NEEDLE I HAVE TRIED, including Sharps, Milliners, and Large Eyed needles.

   I do alot of sewing by hand and this needle threader is wonderful. You do need to have a delicate touch using it. And it took a few tries before I realized then put the thread down. It takes a little practice, but definitely worth the effort.

   I am really not certain why people can't seem to use this??? I grabbed the first needle in my pin cushion, stuck it in with the eye opening toward the inside of the threader. Viola!!!
