It is very soothing and helps to drain the sinuses, not immediately, but over a period of time. I used distilled water and give the salt a little time to dissolve. Also I am careful to clean the heads and rinse the reservoir with distilled water afterwards. I have had this item for about nine months now and use it regularly.

I have been prescribed numerous 14 day treatments of levaquin, and even that is starting to not work. This machine has been a blessing to me. The ear nose and throat specialists want to do surgery on me to open up my sinus cavities as well, but using this machine has kept the infections, doctors, and specialists away. I use it 1 to 2 times a day with the Neil med rinse packets. You will be amazed how much you will rinse out of your sinus cavaties. It truely works. Relax when you use it, it feels a little weird at first, but you get used to it, and it does not hurt not even one tiny bit, no pain at all what-so-ever. Buy it, and use it daily, not only when you are sick, using it daily keeps the sickness away. Great for allergies too.......
