   After years of using an Ikea wooden laptop desk, I caved and paid more than I was originally willing to for this desk and it was so worth it! This thing is great. It's super adjustable to basically any height and tilt, doesn't easily tip at an angle with the weight of the laptop, and the desk surface is thin and seems to do a really good job of dispersing heart from the laptop as the fan does not run as much/as fast as with the wooden desktop. Also, I have a pretty thin laptop, so I wondered if the tray lip to keep it from sliding off would be too high, but it's just right, so it doesn't stick up and cut into my wrists when typing. My only complaint would be that the mouse tray could use its only smaller ridge at the bottom so it doesn't slide off if you have it in a slant position, but that's a minor issue and I might try something like a plastic report cover spine cut to size.

   I found this stand a little clumsy to adjust at first, but stick with it. It works well if you want to use while you're in bed or sitting on the couch, but it's also great for putting It on a desk. I spent the summer working at my dining table and even at a lower level, I was able to tilt my laptop to where it was really comfortable on my wrists and arms.
   Where this has really helped me was raising my laptop up so the screen was at eye level. A year ago I find out I had five herniated discs in my neck. I had surgery replacing two levels of my spine in my neck. Looking down isn't great for your cervical spine and this Has helped me avoid that. Being able to put my laptop at eye level while I work my way through grad school has been incredibly helpful. My neck is more comfortable, therefore I can work for longer periods of time. I also don't worry about not having good posture in my neck while I'm working.
   I was seriously considering every other stand besides this until I saw it reviewed as one of the best stands on some technology websites. Now I know why. It's one of the cheapest ones out there, it has a really good height, and it's really functional. I absolutely love this thing!

It bends in a million different directions so he's able to use it a whole bunch of different ways. He says it's sturdy and he's even attached a mouse pad on top of the side attachment so his mouse won't slide off. If it came with one built onto it it would have been a nicer product.

   This sturdy, lightweight table makes working and gaming from my office/bed soooo much easier. Much better than hunching over or anything else I've tried to use to raise my computer's height. Would make an excellent dinner tray: Top is textured so stuff doesn't slide off so will need backing for drawing/writing. Even goes tall enough to be used from floor if needed!    I am using the laptop stand as a reading desk for use in my reclining arm chair. It works perfectly whether I am sitting upright or reclining in the chair. If used in a chair with arms, the outside diameter of the legs at the bottom of the laptop stand is 19.25” – the widest point of the stand. The inside space between the chair arms would need to be greater than 19.25” for the stand to rest on the chair cushion. The lightweight aluminum stand I received is 16.5” x 10.5” with a 5/8” lip that runs across the entire bottom (16.5”). The stand works great for large books. I ordered a desk that sits on your lap but returned it to Amazon and got the Uncaged stand. With this stand, I can cross my legs while reading a book in my arm chair without affecting the stand. The surface of the stand is not smooth, but has a fine texture which I like (see photo). Out of the box, the stand is a little confusing, but it did not take long to find the right combination of settings for adjusting the three legs on each side. If you intend to use the stand in multiple ways, you may want to document the settings (from 0 to 23) on each leg. I am using the stand as a reading desk in an arm chair, and it should work just as well on a couch or in bed.

   I have been living in a recliner now 19 days and have another 5 days of "flat of back" rehab to go. This 3 joint support system in unbelievably fabulous!. Tried others......light enough to lift with one hand. keeps lap top cool. can adjust to be a computer desk or a lunch table....can't imagine a better product. Maybe in time the dials to adjust the 3 joints will break or wear out but at $40 can get another! LIfe saver. Can comfortably work while laying down. LIttle "side attachment" also wonderful....it can be at completely different angle of laptop support; on either right or left side. can set a cup on it; use it for mousing, or clip what I'm typing from .... Great design !!! and inexpensive....think I might get one for every one on my Christmas list.

   Due to my disability I need to lie practically flat, so I was looking for a tray that could go nearly vertical without issues. This one works just fine for that. I had to secure the keyboard I wanted to use down on it, But otherwise it works well beyond the 30° is that it was originally advertised for. It's heavier than it looks like it should be and I am concerned that it's going to eventually break but I've been using it for six months now with no issues.

   How can something be so light and so sturdy? I have no idea, but this is. Adjusting it takes a little patience but once you figure it out, no big deal. I use it for large books so that my arms don't get tired, but mostly to stand up to use my laptop (on the kitchen counter). I do have a different keyboard on the countertop, but this is a great way to not have to always sit when working. It comes with extra parts to make it versatile. I bought one for my sister to hold her music books with her (piano type) keyboard underneath. It is sturdy enough to hold those.

It is super light weight, easy to use (takes getting used to) and does the job. I work from home and normally have a pillow under my laptop. This is so so so much better!!!
