   This really works! I tried another evaporative air cooler but it didn't do much other than humidify the air. On the contrary, it actually has a cooling effect! I am very happy with this little thing. I have Rosacea and live in a hot, dry climate that makes my face red every day! I don't have air conditioning at home, so cooling my face on hot days is super important to me. Thanks for creating this amazing little device. I hope it lasts a long time!

Check your local weather. The lower the humidity in your home/area, the better.

   Where I live can be very dry. My husband and I sleep in the upstairs bedroom which is always 10 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. In winter if we turn down the heat, our daughter will get cold downstairs in her room. In summer, if we try to cool the upper floor with central air conditioner, the lower floor will freeze. I have vintage windows with no window parts and if I open the windows at night to sleep, my allergies go crazy.

   Evaporative cooling technology is old technology and under the right conditions it works very well. This is NOT an air conditioner, so if you were expecting something similar to a window unit or a car air conditioner, you will be disappointed. It cannot cool a large and hot room. But what it can do, it does very well! i love it!!!

   it works wonders for the first 20 minutes or so. The water needs to seep through the filter cartridge because evaporating water in a (ideal) dry climate is the science behind air cooling. Until that happens, it's basically just a small box fan. I was under the impression that some reviewers tested it for 5 minutes, concluded it didn't work, and wrote their reviews. Give it at least 20 minutes and you will definitely notice that it pushes air out 8-10 degrees cooler than room temperature.

This is for those who want to cool the bed while sleeping or put it on the desk to cool down while working or can put it in a corner of the kitchen while cooking. Basically, it's when you spend a lot of time in the same location and don't necessarily cool your entire house. I like it very much!!!

   Based on what some people have mentioned about its ability to push air, it seems like they might not realize that there are multiple settings. this can really work to cool down an entire room on the highest setting. However, in a larger space, just remember that this is made to cool you while a few feet away from you, not at the opposite end of where you are. I just did a little test and you can feel the cool breeze from 8 feet away on the highest setting. Also, you probably won't notice much of an effect.
