Not sure they will hold up very well outside. The battery life is not very long after a full charge. It keeps our three boys happy for 15 minuets of play before the batteries need recharged again.

   I gave this to my 3 year old grandson for xmas. It was a huge hit. The remote was easy for him to manage within no time at all. It runs great on the dirt hills and is durable for hauling other toys. The only downside is a 30 minute battery life. But Top Race fixed that by sending more batteries. And it's far better to be able to 'recharge' than it is to 'replace' batteries. The batteries recharge in about an hour. Awesome toy that Daddy likes playing with too.
