   I did some online research before purchasing a Jinhao X450 and this pen was exactly what I was expecting. It's an excellent starter pen and the seller sent it in a plastic sleeve in a padded envelope. The converter has worked fine so far. I'm very happy with it. It is a bit wide and heavy for some, but I find my hand cramps less using it than with normal ballpoints.

   I love this pen. I am using ink cartridges in it; I have not tried it with bottled ink. It is the smoothest writing fountain pen I have found in a long time. It has a nice weight to it but it is still comfortable to hold and write with it. Lines are consistent and even. The color of the pen is vibrant and I have had many compliments about it at work. Overall a very good pen for the price.

   Don’t let the price of this pen fool you, the quality is wonderful. It’s a smooth writer and the glassy green color is beautiful. It’s also comfortable to hold—especially the grip section. The pen has some heft to it, but it’s not overly heavy. I prefer to use it unposted.

   I think this is a really nice fountain pen for the price, and a great value. It has a very nice solid weight and feel to it. You might experiment using different inks and papers, and see what works best for you. I use Quink black ink, and it always seems to start writing right away, even without using it for a few days. As an introduction to fountain-penmanship, it is a great start and I recommend it highly. If there is one little problem, it would be that when you take the cap off, it does not fit nicely on the other end of the pen, as you would rather expect it too. But its great value far exceeds this small problem.

   For the price of this pen, it is amazing. It looks and feels like a pen that is worth way more that the price listed on here. So far, this pen has help up beautifully and I now use it as my daily writer. The included converter is a bit flimsy but, for the price, I am honestly surprised it even came with one. Amazing value, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cheap fountain pen or someone who wants a daily writer they don't mind losing.

   This is the perfect pen for anybody looking in the entry level AND mid range price point. The nib is amazing, the inkflow is great, it's comfortable, etc. I use it without the cap posted and can write for hours with it. I definitely recommend this for anybody who is getting into fountain pens, or even a seasoned veteran. You won't be disappointed.
