No more needing to use the little paper circle that comes with a light, just set this to the right size and it'll cut through the first layer of paper and into the gypsum. Follow that up with a drywall knife to cut out a perfect circle.

   Thanks to this cutter. I had another glass cutter before this, but i was about to give up, because it was never working, cracked all the wrong places. Amazing what a better tool can do.    I love this thing. Perfect cuts every time. I wish I had it years ago. I used to use my rotary tool to cut the holes but it never cut as perfect as this. It will only cut the paper but that's what you want. Use a drywall saw to finish the job.
