The pad is about 1/4” thick and as mouse pads go, it’s on the smooth side, but I didn’t get it for the pad itself, it’s the charger that I wanted. There is no thickness difference between the “mouse pad” area and the “charger area.” There are a couple of vents under the charging pad and a single LED above the coil area; blue means it’s powered, and green means it’s charging… The light is always on.
I couldn’t get it to fast-charge my Samsung Galaxy, but that’s because Samsung recently made it so non-OEM chargers won’t work on their phones… Go figure. Still, the pad is an inconspicuous addition to my desk and it feels no different on my wrist than using a regular rubber/neoprene mouse pad.
