It was roomy enough for everything I needed for day trips, including two pairs of glasses, wallet, umbrella, personal care stuff, light jacket and 35mm camera. Features I particularly liked were the clean outside surfaces (no outside pockets), a zipper under the flap to ensure security of items, a zipper compartment in the back for easy access of important things (like passport and wallet), snaps on the upper sides to cinch the top when the backpack wasn't full, and an easy way to shift from backpack to shoulder bag. Very durable. I looked at a lot of bags and was very pleased with this one!

And I love this backpack! I am not sure what type of leather is used, but it looks good and expensive. The backpack has lots of space and pockets inside. It is pretty deep. You can wear it as a backpack or wear it on a shoulder as a purse, how I wear it. It is pretty easy to open and close it. Even if you don't use a zipper, you still have a snap to close it. I would definitely buy this backpack again, if I need one.

My girlfriend loves this bag. It's very useful to be able to go from a backpack to a single-strap almost-"messenger bag" style with no effort. The main flap's clasp holds tight and there's a zipper under it to access the main compartment, so that alone makes it more secure than most "backpack purses" in terms of someone stealing from you while you're wearing the bag. For added security, there's a small pocket on the inner face of the bag (the one that would be directly against your back) that is zippered shut. It's definitely not "roomy", but you should be able to fit most wallets and cell phones in it without difficulty.
