   Black light causes tomato worms to glow. It's the easiest way to find them. We have two of these flashlights, and they are great. They are light enough to be able to hold them for the half hour it takes to get through all our 80 or more tomato plants. They are bright, and we didn't have to replace the batteries all summer.    I had this same unit but did not follow the directions as to removing the batteries if not using for a while. The batteries leaked and pressed so hard against the side wall of the unit that they could not be removed. I always use Duracell and it was not the batteries, just way too long in storage. Everything else about this unit is fine and dandy. Although it is recommended for spotting dried pet urine stains I have used, and to great success, for identify rocks that glow under ultraviolet light. Good price, good job. Oh, and make sure to lightly lube the threads of the cap with Vaseline. This helps maintain a watertight seal.

   I have a large bonus room and swore I kept smelling cat pee (I have 2 cats). I sniffed everywhere and couldn't narrow down the spot. Decided to try this light and it worked like a charm! I found a small-ish spot on the couch and used enzyme cleaner on it and now no more smell! When I used the light, it was broad daylight out. The light was plenty bright in a well lit room.    Yep you read that title right lol. I bought this because I heard that hornworms glow under UV light, and they do! This little flashlight helped me find so many of them at night and also helped me locate some scorpions in my garden! It would be fun for kids to find all of the little things at night that you don't see during the day. The only negative is my partner wasn't able to be around the UV light, it bothered his eyes a lot. Just don't shine these in your eyes or towards anyone else either, not sure if it damages but it is uncomfortable.
