First off let me say sorry to all the people who didn’t like this knife, I think it’s awesome! Very sharp and I really like how the blade is thick at the top then gets narrow on the blade edge. I used it on a semi-frozen chuck roast and it sliced like butter! But...understand that it’s a high carbon steel not stainless. It’s considerably more brittle than stainless because it’s harder. Don’t drop it and don’t use it to pry things apart! (Like meat frozen together) use it for what it’s intended and you’ll be completely satisfied!

Very great price for this knife. I inspected it when it arrived because I had seen some reviews saying the knife did not arrive in good condition. Out of the box I did not notice any bowing and the knife was quite sharp; it did have a bit of oil on it still, but after a quick wash it was ready to use. It cuts vegetables with ease and carves steak well (the product description does not recommend using this knife against bone so I did not test that aspect even though it is quite a heavy cleaver.) Very ergonomic I found it fit comfortably in my hands during use despite its heft. For the price, I would definitely recommend this product.

I had ordered three other knives directly from so-called company for twice or even almost three times the amount here. I saw no difference in quality or craftmanship. Most likely all made in the same place (China) and branded by different companies. If you are serious about cutting meat these types of knives are the ones to get. Great balance and durability for the price. No need to get a specific brand or marketing gimmicks Forged high carbon steel, Viking, Caveman etc. I used this one for chopping up my carne asada (Flap meat).

This is a heavy knife. I thought it would be awkward to use, but it is awesome. It easily glides through what you are cutting. It can slice garlic paper thin. The handle is easy to hold, the blade is made very well. I got this knife from watching a video on FB. It looks so badass. The one that the chef used was well over $100, this one is well priced, and worth it. It replaces most of my knives I own. The leather cover is a must!! This knife is SHARP!!

I had always wanted a clever but couldn't justify the cost since I'd use it 1-2 times per year. So, this popped up in April and I bought it. Well, at the end if August I finally used it and it was awesome! Particularly for cutting melons because of its wedge like shape. After washing it I left it out to make sure it didn't rust like others in this range. As alway, I'll loop around in another 6-12 months with a long term update

I agonized or this purchase for MONTHS! I worried if the fact that this wasn’t expensive meant that it was of inferior quality…the quality is amazing. This knife arrived far sharper than I expected and it looks great! The weight plus the sharpness makes slicing almost anything a breeze. This plus my trusty pearing knife are all I ever use now. Also, I have bought one for every friend and family member who loves to cook…5 and counting…

I must say this is a great knife! The full tang and heavy spine gives it the cutting power of a full butcher knife. Its heavy but balanced which plays well when you need intricate cuts. The curve of the spine to the point gives it the finesse of a chefs knife. In no way does this knife replace every knife in the kitchen but with the amazing leather sheath mean you can take this and only this in the back country and do everything from dress an animal to cut veggies to cook with it. I love this knife.

Ever since I watched a camping video of a guy cooking outside and chopping up stuff with this type of knife, I wanted one. ALWAYS check the deals box when you look to buy something and here's why. When I first looked into this type of a knife I saw prices that were way above what I ended up paying for this model. The knife is sharp and well balanced. I can pretty much do anything with this knife: slice, dice, chop, skin..I bet I could lay brick and mortar with it. The important thing is to clean and hand dry your knife when you are done..jj

It’s decent heavy knife I love cutting, chopping, slicing, it does it all sharp blade
It’s great after cutting stuff to scooping veggies onto the knife and taking them straight to the pan
I’ve noticed myself cutting better, thinner, straighter, less effort out of my hand and more of the knife doing the work
The sheath is very nice I wouldn’t say it’s the best but built well has thicker edges to fit the blade.
Knife cleans up real easy stuff does not really stick to it
Overall pretty damn good knife originally I got this for camping and hunting knife, a all in one knife As I would best describe it. but know I’m using it everyday in the kitchen and will probably get a second one so I don’t forget it
