   I have a 100 lb great Dane lab mix. He broke his last collar and I had to find a new durable one. I chose this collar because of the o-ring, as I hadn't heard of it. Well I was pleasantly surprised. This collar is not only sturdy and durable but looks good on him too. The o-ring is an extra protection if he does break it. We have had the collar for a while now and it stands up to the pull of my Bear dog. The reflection is a bonus score and really works, I can find my black dog in the dark. .

   My fifty pound mutt has been wearing collar of this same size, and it tends to rub the hair off her neck in front. This collar seems to be sturdy enough although I do not attach my leash to it when I walk her. The clasp is all plastic, and if you do need a collar that can withstand a lot of force, be aware of that. The collar doesn't seem to stretch out of shape, is nicely reflective, and really for her is an improvement over the Kong. I will buy this one again when I need a replacement.

My dog hasn't been wearing it long enough to tell how durable it will be long term, but it seems to be solidly constructed and I'm not anticipating any issues.

   My mutt is a chewer and has removed and destroyed other collars. And we can't do metal belt loop collars because she has short pit hair and sensitive skin that reacts to it. This collar doesn't come off even when she plays with other dogs and it doesn't bother her skin.
