Although I did get stung once during the first time I wore the suit, the cotton is thick enough that the stinger did not penetrate the cotton fabric and stay in my arm. This means the effect of the sting is much less severe. And even though my “girls” were a bit ornery, this suit made me feel comfortably protected.
