   I was looking for a firm backrest to help me sleep in a more sitting up position to help with germ issues. Other backrest were too soft and unsupportive. This one really helps. I recommend this to anyone with the same health issue.

   You really need to know what kind of pillow you want. I wanted a heavy, thick and firm pillow to read while laying in bed. This fits the bill perfectly. The fabric is really like a slightly velour t-shirt fabric. It is not super soft or velvety to the touch; however.It is not scratchy or rough. There was no smell when it arrived. I find that the pillow holds its shape even while resting unassisted on the edge of bed or couch. It has a handle on top, which is really just a strap of fabric, to lift it by when moving it out of the way. The color is a deep maroon not a bright red. I am very satisfied with the structure and durability of this pillow.

   I haven’t been more glad I bought something in a long time. I have back pain all the way from upper to lower and this is just what I need. My living room chair is not comfortable for me to sit in because of the back issues so I end up laying on my bed, but then I end up falling asleep. I bought this so I could sit up on my bed and do stuff instead of falling asleep. It is exactly what I need. It is nice and firm so it, of course, keeps me sitting up and it feels great on my back. And of course, since I am on my bed, I can stretch my legs out so my legs don’t hurt. It’s a God send.

I have a fractured coccyx and with a small pillow in the small of my back with the backrest pillow, the pressure is off my tailbone. They have been a great relief to both of us.

   Before purchasing this product as a Christmas Gift for a 6 foot man, I spent time reading over all of the reviews. I could not help to notice that so many people were complaining because of the size and the firmness of this product. So I looked at the size and dimensions before ordering this product and felt comfortable about the purchase. When the product arrived, it was perfect. If you are looking for a Back Rest that your neck can rest on then this is not the one for you. But if you want your back to be supported while you are sitting up in your bed, this back rest is perfect. Yep, it's firm too and we love it like that. So it is a personal preference.

   I bought this for my bed so I could write on my book. I was a little apprehensive when I saw the size of the package. It was definitely smaller than I thought. However when I finally got the plastic off the pillow and shook the pillow into shape, it was perfect. It's not too small, not too large. The pillow is a little firm, but I'd rather it be that, than too soft. I'm very pleased with my purchase
