   It's been awhile since I've been excited about a tool. After applying a large quantity of roofing sealant with a hand caulking gun, I told myself I'd look for a cordless gun to make it easier on myself. Although there are less expensive and highly reviewed cordless guns out there, I'm already invested in Dewalts 20V Max batteries and therefore was limited to one of their guns at a price point $50 more expensive (gun only). But after using the gun on a small project, I wish I had bought one sooner. It's a dream to install caulking now.

   I'm building new home and this tool is AWESOME. Just load in the caulk, pull the trigger and go. It can get ahead of itself, but I am a novice user. Also, keeps pumping out even after you stop. You need to disengage to get it to truly stop pushing out caulk. Beats the heck out of hand pumping out caulk. Highly recommend.

   This gun is awesome for what it is designed for. That is pumping large quantities of adhesive, caulking or other type tubes. I used it for running adhesive for brick faces. It was definitely worth the money for that job since I ran over sixty tubes. I don't think it would be so good for fine caulking work but I didn't try it like that. It would be a learning curve for that.

   I own most of the dewalt lithium line and they (with exception of the first generation drill) are all exceptional. This is no difference. Applying heavy caulk on a cold day was a nightmare on my hands. I bought this and it made it a breeze. Note though that this thing is HUGE. Don't expect to be carrying around a little caulk gun on your belt. This is a monster, but, it is extremely well made and gets the job done.

   Another plus, this saves some wear and tear on your hands as you don't have to squeeze the handle every time you want the adhesive to come out (like the old, manual guns). The adhesive comes out at a constant rate, so no having to worry about it come out faster (or slower) each time you pull the trigger. With prime shipping it came to me in just two days!

   This item works perfectly. I purchased it to use with a windshield install for the urethane glue. This was perfect I had excellent control over the flow with variable speed. And the best part is when you release the trigger, it automatically backs off pressure of the caulk tube so the material stops coming out immediately.

   I do roof repairs for a living. Paid $240 for the DeWalt caulking gun. Has paid for itself already. Can do an hour's worth of work in 20 minutes. Tried Ridgids gun for $90 and it could barely compete with DeWalt's. It would constantly stop. This gun has a perfect performance in it's speed settings. A permanent tool in my bag.
