I had never even heard of this sort of tool before. I was definitely skeptical that it would work as advertised, but I was able to use it with no difficulty whatsoever. I sealed a potato chip bag almost perfectly on my first attempt. I was able get it sealed airtight after resealing a couple spots. There is a bit of a trick to figure out the time to let it heat before you start sliding and how fast to slide it, but worst case you go too slow and rip the bag or too fast and it doesn't seal. This varies by material, as indicated in the instructions. The cutting blade on the opposite end is a bonus, and again, it depends on what material you are cutting how well this works. Overall, this device works as well as you would expect. It all just depends on the material you are sealing or cutting. You'll have better luck if the material is flat with no wrinkles or jagged edges.
