   this shovel will be stored in my van and used on camping trips and since I don't do rough camping anymore, this small shovel should serve the family just and it's small enough for the entire family to use. The serrated edge looks too blunt to be of much use so I'll sharpen it up. But for the money, this makes a great addition to the arsenal. Highly recommended.

   I was impressed with how compact this shovel can truly fold up. It is great to keep in your vehicle if you are off-roading or if you are camping. It doesn't take up much space at all! It is perfect for smaller jobs but if you had to dig a large hole or move a lot of dirt, you will need something larger. Great for what it was originally intended for though!

   Has held up nicely over the last year or so I've had this. It is showing some rust/ wear+tear near the shovel attachment point to the handle and on the blade itself but I have been using it to dig so that's expected at some point. Great for backpacking/ camping. Using to dig small latrine holes, dig out fire pits. I also use this around the house for yard work/gardening. I really like to functionality of it to turn it into a pick. I would recommend for the price/ purposes I listed.

   Quite frankly, it's perfect for what it is. No it's not an actual entrenching shovel (read the description and this should be clear. It's blade is a little thin and it's not going to dig hard dirt or pry rocks. It's a small light weight shovel that you can throw in a back pack and not be lugging a bunch of extra weight around. It digs holes and moves dirt. I'd call it the perfect back packing shovel. Glad I bought it, I won't hike without it.
