As ridiculous as this looks, it actually works great. I was a bit hesitant and skeptical but bath time for my infant daughter was getting long and tedious. She has long beautiful hair but hates when I cradle her to wash her hair over the tub. Washing the front of her hair was impossible without getting soap and water in her ears, nose or mouth. Using this contraption actually cut bath time down, which is great during cold weather. My daughter also approves of using it.

This thing is awesome. My toddler would cry every night when wed start washing her hair and no matter how careful we were to keep soapy water out of her face, it would get there. Shed get scared and look down, making things worse, it sucked. We tried another product that you had to strap to her head and we could rarely get her to wear it for long enough to rinse her hair, and on the rare occasion we could, it still dribbled water in her face. We have to after a week. THIS product is a great design. It has a strap but you dont have to use it. The soft rubber that presses up against the forehead channels the water back so nothing is spilling into or in front of her face, so shes totally comfortable. We just hold it against her head with one hand and pour water with the other. Great product!

This product is bloody brilliant. My almost 3 year old went from crying to acting like a possessed child from the exorcist whenever it was time to rinse his head from his very expensive tear free shampoo. I got this for him in fear that my neighbors were going to call CPS. So I used it although the words rinse off the shampoo set him off in a rampage. With one hand I managed to keep the hat on him and rinse his head while keeping him from flying out of the tub. I honestly think I grew a few extra arms. Not one drop of water got on his face! This is seriously the best thing since sliced bread. Hopefully the next few times we use it hell realize his face isnt actually getting wet and stop screaming before all the pets off themselves from the screaming. I recommend this to everyone. Unless your kid loves water on his face then in that case lucky you. Update: its been about 3 months and he no longer gives me a hard time when I say its time to rinse. I make him look up and I just use a towel to take out the excess water from his hair so it doesnt drip. Best purchase ever

Ok so let me just say what a lifesaver this is!!! Washing my 3 year old daughter's hair was a nightmare!! If you've ever tried to bathe a ferile cat then you understand what I've been dealing with over here. If a drop of water touched her face it was full on freak out mode. I dreaded bath times more than anything. When we got it I showed her how it worked without the water first and then we tried it out for the first time tonight. She was reluctant at first but once she realized there was no water on her face she was thrilled and I was thrilled and it was a joyous moment for the both of us!!! Praise the lord! High five to inventor of this miracle product!! You did good. You did real good!!

It took our daughter a week of using it and calling it "her crown" for her to not be upset when we use it. It gets a good seal on her head and little to no water gets in her eyes. This has made washing her hair a lot easier as she does not know to tilt her head back yet. We store the splash guard in an old yogurt container to keep it from stretching out. So far, we have had no issues with it and it has made bath time a much more enjoyable experience all around.

Better than the cup, you clip it ok the back of the head and your free to go, I still hold it for extra support by kid is no longer afraid of her hair getting washed, plus when she feels it at the top of her head she naturally puts her head back which is a good support love this

My husband has used this with our toddler a few times now and he is a fan. He said it keeps the water out of our son’s eyes. I couldn’t believe it when I didn’t hear screams of terror when my husband was washing our son’s hair with this. My son hates water in his eyes and will scream uncontroablly if it gets in there. I would defintely purchase again. Such a great idea.

My daughters dreaded the water in their eyes at shampoo time. This works. Yes, you must have them hold it (the photo of the water freely pouring on a little girl's head is not realistic), and sometimes they do not hold it tightly against their head and water gets onto their face. Just tell your child to keep her eyes shut, hold the hat tightly (you place it on her head, and she holds it there) and it totally keeps the water out of her eyes. If she gets lazy (my daughters sometimes did when we first got this), they learn quickly to hold still and hold the hat tightly so it does not slip, while you later up and rinse their hair.
Also, make sure, when you take it off, slip it off, up, over their head, behind their head, not in front of it so you don't dump the remaining water into their eyes.
