   Wish I had bought this a long time ago. Ripping long plywood pieces for bookcases or shelving is tough without setting up a jig or having a huge table saw setup. This tool clamps to your circular saw in 30 seconds (after initial setup) and the cuts are straight and true. Much faster than clamping down jigs or guide boards, and it just hangs on the wall for whenever I need it.

   I can't believe how well this works for the price. For anyone who doesn't have a full size tablesaw, this is the best possible way to make long straight rips in plywood. I was able to continually make 15in cuts (it goes up to 24in) by myself without any assistance and the edge was near factory straight. This tool is now indispensable and will go with me to every job site. It's faster, smaller, and lighter than a portable table saw. It worked with both my cordless dewalt 6 1/2in circular saw and my corded skil 7 1/4 saw.

   But is truly a help. I am always measuring, then figuring the width before the blade, adding new marks - then clamping down another piece of wood for a guide. This eliminates several steps. Good clean straight lines. (If you follow the directions. AND don't make your first attempt to try it out on a good expensive new board. Get use to it, see where the blade takes out the extra length amount for with cut.) Easy in/out for my circular saw.

   Item was as described and was shipped quickly and well packaged. Fitted to my Porter Cable circular saw, I was able to breakdown 4x8 sheets of 3/4 ply and fiber insulation boards quite easily. Easy to set up on my PC saw and just as easy to remove. When placed back on saw, setup remained the same. Much easier than trying to use my table saw in my small shop. Only downside was it didn't fit my small Dewalt battery circular saw. This saw has an upturned bottom plate in front and though an angled piece is provided to help these types of plates fit, it wasn't tall enough to securely attach to this saw and keep rear of plate in contact with with guide. As you tighten the anchoring screws in the front of the saw plate, the rear of the plate would lift off the carrier due to the steep upturn at front of saw base. It did fit my PC like a glove. Very secure. All in all this is a very useful addition to my shop. Very pleased with vender and item.

   Like: I used this as opposed to buying a table saw for breaking down 3/4 inch melamine by myself at customers home. I like this very much and have recommended to friends to purchase as opposed to buying table saw for weekend warriors and professionals that need a quick rip on long material. Dislike: It works better with corded dedicated saw as removal requires setting up built in tape-measure (if that matters to you) Would have been better in my opinion had some of the screws to assemble had capture nuts instead of screwing into plastic material if you change saws or dismantle it after use or storage.

   Presumably you're considering this guide either because you don't have a table saw or because you sometimes do wood-working "in the field." I fall into the first category--I don't have a proper space for an indoor workshop, so no table saw, and I do most of my work on my patio. (Which is now covered in sawdust!) You're probably hoping this guide can help your circular saw do three things: cut straight, cut reproducibility, and cut accurately. The common alternative is to just use a straight piece of wood as a fence, and guide your circular saw along that. So in this review, I'm going to focus on how it compares to using a fence for each of the three goals.
