Purchased the dock a couple years or so ago, everything you need to connect and power the station was included. Successfully cloned a 1 TB hard drive from my original 1 TB drive with no problems. With the right software you don't need a larger drive for your target disc than the drive you want cloned (can't be smaller though), with some software that is a problem. Used the station a few times since then for 2.5" and 3.5" drives, still works great, happy customer.

Replaced my existing hard drives for new ones with bigger capacity, and re-purposed the old ones for backups. This is a great little accessory, plug and play, no fussing or tweaking required. I don't use the clone function, I assume it works fine but honestly most people will be better off using a third party software app for that (I use Marcium, hands down best backup software ever made). Third party apps will give you cloning capabilities, in addition to more advance features and functionality to make backups faster and more efficient. Would def recommend for anyone looking for a cheap, reliable way to do local backups.
