Stabilizing and supporting the hand and wrist following an injury or stroke, the hand and wrist immobilizer securely holds the palm, fingers, thumb and wrist in a resting position. The immobilizing brace is soft and breathable, effectively relieving pain and inflammation while promoting recovery. Ideal for use both day and night, the stroke splint features an ergonomic rigid splint and four adjustable fastener straps for a secure, yet comfortable fit.

Features:

Ideal for day and nighttime support, the hand and wrist immobilizer holds the affected arm in neutral, resting position to promote healing and pain relief. The brace is softly padded and utilizes a rigid splint to support and stabilize the wrist and hand to relieve pain and inflammation due to injury, tendonitis and arthritis.

Constructed with a rigid composite material, the immobilizing splint is ergonomically shaped for optimal support and comfort. The shaped splint supports a resting hand position to reduce flexion contractures and retain strength.

Cushioning the arm, wrist and palm, the stroke hand splint is lined with a soft foam padding for greater comfort throughout the day and night. The brace cover is made with a soft, breathable material that remains cool and dry. The brace cover is also removable and machine washable.

It took a little getting used to, but I have been able to work a mouse and keyboard while wearing a brace on each hand. I've also been able to fall asleep in bed while wearing both braces. I was a little worried at first but previous reviewers mentioned no issues falling asleep as well. They can get pretty warm after some time at which case your wrists and palms may become sweaty. Try to clean the interior fabric of this happens regularly.

I had ordered one and didn't like it because it didn't have the metal splint in it & with how bad my carpel tunnel is I have to have that extra support. I returned it and got this one in and it is perfection. It's the best wrist brace I've owned and I've owned four different kinds. It's easy to put on, easy to adjust, it has the metal splint in it and it's breathable. It's the first brace I've ever owned that I can actually sleep in - all the others were to uncomfortable or made my wrist to sweaty.

My only suggestion would it would be nice if you could take out the stiff plastic insert that is inside the soft material of the brace that keeps your wrist stabilized for different uses or needs. Make sure you size up a size as others have mentioned. Especially if you have larger or wider hands.
