   It isn't a perfect design, but it does what it's supposed to do: separate the yolk. After cracking a large egg into it, sometimes it requires manual wiggling to get the egg white to separate. But it does a pretty darn good job at it. It won't separate it by just hanging the item on the side of a bowl, though.
