   This is my go to, I've bought a couple. They're really sturdy and reliable. I've had one for a year and one for two years, and both I only feel the need to sharpen once a year. The blades are reliable and sturdy, although you may need to sharpen more than I do if you plan to cut food and plastic/paper. These scissors cut through food very well. The handles are really comfortable and are very durable. Many cheaper options wear here the fastest by repetitively coming into contact with your hands, washes, and because of the material itself. And these aren't that expensive either! Despite significant use, these have remained comfortable to hold. The blades and the handles are extremely easy to clean; I rarely need to use more than a household sponge.

   This is a nice sharp pair of scissors that we primarily use in our kitchen to open up food packages. It feels nice to hold in your hands and does feel like a sturdy pair and can cut nicely through thin cardboard (ie, cereal box). When the blades git dirty, we've put the scissors in our dish washer, and they clean nicely. No issues or concerns with these scissors - they work perfectly. I would buy them again - I think you'd be happy with them too.
