   I work at a shelter and we have a dog who loves water so I figured I'd try this. It took about 15 minutes for him to figure it out but now he loves it. We have to turn off the water to it for him to come in else he won't keep playing with it, which might be an issue if you just keep it on all the time. I liked that all the parts were metal so it should have a long life. I'm hoping that the short hose to it doesn't get destroyed since that is the only part I'm not sure how to replace if I'd have to.

   Took only a few tries for my German shepherd to figure out how to operate it by himself. He loves to play in water and was beside himself with excitement when we hooked this up. It works perfectly and easily attached to our hose with no leaks. He runs over to it every time we take him outside now!
   I would add an FYI to limit playtime with this though; my little guy swallowed so much water from happily chomping at the stream for a half hour, that he eventually puked! Then later, he had an accident in the house which never happens.. I assume not EVERY dog will impulsively drink water til they explode like he did, it's just something I didn't even think possible until it happened! So, now we just limit play time with it to short bursts here and there.

   This is a great idea for fresh water but I’m still trying to train my dogs to press on the foot paddle to get their own water. They watch while I fill their bowl which sits next to it but so far haven’t caught on. Maybe I need smarter dogs! I did try blocking off the area around it as the directions explain to get them used to it. Well even if they don’t get how to do it themselves it’s much easier to keep fresh water available for them.

   It’s been a while since I’ve landed a solid product following an impulse click. My dog doesn’t really need a dog water fountain to survive, but her water fountain truely complements her bizarre but fun personality. I read an article today that summarized a long-term study of pets and how they suggested that there’s a chance all pets are miserable because they live in a human world with human rules so they’re out of their element and objectively speaking, in reality, it’s actually NOT a symbiotic relationship. I don’t subscribe to this theory. Look at Midge in this video! Does it look like she’s suffering? If she is, then our entire general understanding of dogs and cats is completely inaccurate. Bottom like: it enhances my dog’s life and limits the frequency of her drinking out of the toilet when I forget to lower the seat. Impressed by the solid frame... I was worried my dog would immediately destroy it since her default ‘go to’ reaction to any problem in her life that she can’t solve is ‘total destruction’ until something maybe happens (or the human comes home and there’s a chance they might yell at me and there’s a good chance I’ll have no idea why they’re yelling). Back to the product: this thing is tough and can take a beating. Well engineered, well constructed and I feel it’s well worth the money in my opinion.

   My 20 pound dog absolutely loved this for 1 day. I went to work and left the faucet on low and the flow from the adapter also on low. Just enough so he could continue to learn how to use. When I got home from work it was leaking all over the yard. One of the ends had pulled away. Please see photo. I don't know how this happened. The garden hose I used was 15 ft to go 4 ft, so it was not pulled in anyway. Since the hose has a special attachment - I am just hoping I can get a replacement hose. If anyone has a fix for this I would appreciate it. P.S. My dog was so happy with it last night. Thank you

   So I bought this because of the reviews I wasn’t sure if the quality would be that great.... but this thing is awesome ! It’s metal not plastic works fantastic ! But be prepared to train your dog! It took my boxer several weeks of showing him how to use it! Until one day I walked over to step on it he looked at me and stepped on it like “see mom I figured it out !l he loves it! So much he avoids the inside water bowl and demands out side for the fresher water. It’s just now getting hot out and I see a problem with it getting hot to the touch in direct sun so I recommend shade placement! Great product won’t disappoint ! Get it!

   Wow, I've wanted one of these forever but had no idea how awesome this product actually is! Installation took under a minute and took maybe 5 minutes to get my dog to hit the pad of it all by himself.
   All I did was install the 3-way connector (awesome, by the way. You can turn one or both of the outgoing tubes on or off so you can leave this fountain hooked up AND water your garden). Then just screw on the hose for the fountain, and screw the fountain onto that hose. Tada. Put it on the ground.
   At first my dog didnt seem interested but after the first 2 times of showing him how to work it, he was all about it and drank with it from ease.
   The spray isn't high pressure, about the same as your normal hose, so for me it sprayed up about a foot, foot and a half from the fountain. That's perfect for him being a German shepherd.
   Can't wait to use this every day when the weather is a tad less cold, but even now he loves it already!

   Absolutely amazing! Took my German shepherd a few days to learn to use it. Told her to give me a paw, then every time she did I hit the tap until eventually she gave paw to the tap. She now drinks from it whenever she wants. Best thing I've ever bought for her.
