   I have been breaking these in for a few days and have had zero discomfort in the process. The leather is soft so there is minimal stress on the Achilles tendon, an area I have had problems with boots in the past. The zipper is great for fast on and off. Just adjust the laces, then zip in and out. The soles have a nice grip on surfaces. They have medium arch support with memory foam inserts.

   Something I anticipated was blistering on my right pinkie toe since it was rubbing against the side of the boot while I broke them in. I came home with redness for the first few days. But again, I expected this from Dr. Martens. Don't buy a pair of boots to wear everyday and not expect a blister or two. Luckily, I managed to fix the problem with over sized socks before any actual damage was done. If the shoes are too tight at first, just wear comfortable socks and wait it out, they'll come around.
