I bought 2 of these, one for my 2.5 year old son and one for my 3 year old nephew. I bought them hoping they would help them use up some of their endless amount of energy. Especially during the winter months as this can be played with inside. They really like them, but they don't have the balance to jump more than one or two times. They seem like they will last for a while so I'm sure they will be able to use them in the future. Based on the weight limit adults can even use them and I have, as a 115 lb female, jumped with it multiple times to show my son how to use it.
