   I typically was using the 3m perfect-it system for buffing out new paint jobs. I painted a dark green metallic and was having problems with 2500 grit scratch marks showing up in the clear coat. I thought I would give another compound a try, so I ordered some 3D. Boy was I surprised. The 3D was so easy to use that I started to only go up to 2000 grit when I was wet sanding. It took those scratches out with minimal effort. I will highly recommend this to anyone. If you're using a compound that you've "always used", give this a shot and see the difference for yourself.

But it will not cut as aggressive as cutting compound nor give mirror looking finish as polish/wax.I use it to just give quick correction on my car and bikes with cutting pad and then go over again with polish/wax compound with polishing pad.

   Very good, versatile polish. Can be used to finish or cut depending on the pad you use. I used it with a uro 50/50 pad for a one step correction and the results were very good. It is however very oily, so use a quick detailer or paint prep for wiping. Also when blowing out your pad it will coat anything nearby in a layer of pleasantly scented dust

   This stuff is fabulous. It did a beautiful job on my slightly faded, scratched-here-and-there, parked-outdoors car. Truly one pass, one step, lightly and quickly did miracles. It now looks better than when it was delivered new -- after less effort and worry than previous polishing efforts, too. I've tried a variety of polishes and compounds, and, while I lack the vocabulary to explain exactly how... this one was just... better, in every way. And, bonus: A little goes a *long* way.

But if your into detailing or you work in a body shop like me.. then this product is definitely for you. I constantly am wetsanding fresh paint out the body shop. And this makes my life so much easier. I was able to take the compound off easily with no struggle or streaks like most cutting compound. And no residue dust at all.    Well the end result is beautiful and my family is happy again. They know that I am definitely Mr fix it on occasion. This product helped dull the appearance of the heavy scratches and did a great job correcting swirl marks and spiderwebs in the paint.    I had some powder coated outdoor chairs that were left for many years and not maintained. This left the paint highly oxidized, which annoyingly left a fine residue of paint on your hands whenever you touched the metal. Hand wiping and rubbing a little bit of this compound onto the paint made it look almost like new! The old residue problem is completely solved! This stuff works great for oxidized paint on metallic outdoor furniture.

   I haven't even used this product with my electric car buffer, I've only used it by hand and I have never in my life seen shine like this. I cleaned my mom's 2012 Ford Escape, because it was in front of me whenever the product arrived. I cleaned just about a 6 inch by 6 inch square on the side of her bumper which had a few little scratches and some paint imperfection. And like I said I did it by hand without using anything powered. And with just elbow grease, when I was done, you could see the skyline behind me in the shine it was so clear!
