   My little weenie dog went blind almost 3 years ago. I looked at these back then but the prices were much higher and she's really hit or miss with her willingness to wear things and being willing to move if I put something on her so I didn't buy it. She has definitely slowed down in the years that she's been blind but to some extent she still goes through life like a crash test dummy. Whether it's injury from running into things or degenerative discs her neck was causing her a lot of pain. The medication that the vet prescribed has gotten the pain under control but I ordered this to prevent further injury. I put it on her and away she went with no issues or any learning curve at all.

It took her decrepit brain a few hours to figure out that she just needed to back up and go around when she ran into something, instead of just stopping dead in her venerable tracks, but she got the hang of it and has regained some of her antique sparkle. She can eat, drink, and, most importantly, take her geriatric naps in it with no discomfort. Build quality seems good so far - the hoop is metal covered in foam and doesn't scratch the furniture and the harness part is quite sturdy. This little elder has a girth of 15" and the XS fits her perfectly.

   It was very easy for our blind dog to adjust to it, sturdy enough to block the blows to her head. She can drink water, eat, and even sometimes falls asleep with it on and she seems pretty comfortable with it. My only suggestion is to keep an eye on your pet while wearing it because it's easy for the ring to get stuck under tables or chairs.

   I had to buy a 2nd one as my pup chewed the front strap on our way to the river. I had used it a couple times and it helped with pulling so rebought it. Size was an issue, I have the medium, the front strap doesn't adjust small enough, but it works. I glue the other strap after fitting it to her, as its way to long. Teied the smaller size ut that is way to small.
