I was considering a bunch of other bags that were 2-3x the cost of this one, and I am so glad I did not buy those. This was a great buy!    This is a really nice case. I was surprised by the quality, craftsmanship, and care in wrapping all the hardware so it impress into the leather. Needs care out of the packaging, so be prepared to use conditioner or waterproofing. Super nice bag and old school quality. Not a cheap knock-off and fits a 17 inch laptop with room for files and accessories.

   Wasn't sure what I would get when I ordered this bag. I've had my previous one for over a decade and have gotten quite used to it. Lots of zippers and comfortable to carry and use. I chose this bag because I liked the look of it. It was just delivered and it's clear to me that this company cares about its product if only by the careful way it was packaged. Every metal fastener was individually covered to protect it. Although it took a whole to unwrap it all I appreciated the thought behind doing that.

   I travel a lot for work, and I'm tossing my bag around a lot. But unlike previous Swiss Gear bags, this has absolutely stood the test of time. Every. Single. Thing. Still. Works. There are no rips or tears. Every zipper works and is still on track. All the pockets are good. Even the main gripe of this backpack, no bottom padding, has never been an issue. There's enough that setting it down on concrete floors, tables, and wherever else has never been an issue. Honestly the best backpack I've ever owned at any price, and for $30, it's an absolute steal.

   I also packed a change of clothes (in case my carryon was gate checked and didn't make it to my destination), a packable ultralight down coat, my medications, phone/tablet cords and wall plugs, my quart-sized bag of toiletries, snacks, eye glasses, sunglasses and more. It holds a LOT! It was comfortable on my back; the straps are well padded. I liked that I could also carry it on my carry on suitcase using the strap (on the backpack) that fit over the handle of the carry on suitcase; it was a bit snug getting it to fit over the handle, but it securely held the backpack on top of my Travel Pro carry on suitcase. It seems sturdy and held up well for what I need it for.

   This is my second satchel. My first one broke at the top handle. That was disappointing. But I had it for several years and really liked the first one. One big improvement on the new satchel is the front center strap can now be opened with a push-button clip instead of having to unbuckle. I really like this feature. It makes opening and closing the satchel flap much easier.

   I bought this backpack for travel, to use as a personal carryon item (along with a carryon suitcase). I needed it to fit under the seat on the airplane, and it did. I liked all the separate storage areas and pockets. It had LOTS of room. I packed my tablet and a power pack in it. I liked that there is a cord connection on the outside of the backpack that can connect to a battery pack on the inside of the backpack (cord and battery pack not included) to charge my phone and tablet. There is a pocket on the inside to hold the battery pack near the outside connection.
