It's gentle enough that our pup doesn't get irritated skin, but definitely straightens him out when he is on leash. I also appreciate that it is discreet and looks like a regular collar so I don't have to feel like I'm being judged for the prongs. We used to dread taking our dog on walks but now we bring him everywhere!

I think these types of collars are last resort. They're very dangerous. I suggest not walking your dog the first day with it. Walk the dog around the house, because otherwise the dog will get stressed, and pull even harder trying to take it off. It did help, but I also use a no pull harness to relieve pressure from the neck. Definite life saver, but as an absolute last line. Use responsibility, and I'm sure there's a YouTube video about using it safely.
