I bought this for our second collie pup, because their bullet heads make it easy for them to back out of most collars unless the collar is really tight. This slip leash makes it easy to hold the leash tight enough to prevent slipping out with a stop so it can't get too tight, so it's safer and gentler than a standard choke-chain collar. The leather is nice and thick, and the stop settings can be increased as the puppy grows. My only issue is the round slip ring, which makes it too easy for the leash to rotate. A flatter slip ring would hold the leash flat while still allowing it to slip.
