The cover has a velcro flap with a squeaker and then there are three spreads with many flaps on each. The first and third spread have flaps with crinkle material in them. My daughter loved this from about 5-9 months. She doesn't look at it as much now that she is approaching a year old. I would recommend it; it is particularly great in the car when babies are too young for turning the pages of board books.
