I had to buy bigger trash bags but the only con is that the trash ring that holds the bag in place is too wide for the bag opening so you have to force the bag around the ring giving you less room to fit more trash.

We have owned Punky brand touchless trash cans for years, this is our 3rd and not only is it stunning in our kitchen, but the motion sensitivity is improved and the company made the lid larger, which gives you a nice big area to lob your trash into. You can make a 13 gallon bag work but you'll need to stretch the top band by hand before installing it and these cans are designed to hold a 21 gallon bag and all the trash that goes with that. We only have to take out kitchen trash out once a week (empty nesters, but we do all of our cooking at home-trimmings go in the composter). This company just keeps outdoing themselves on the design and function of their kitchen trash cans and we LOVE it! We are devoted Punky customers! This can is worth every penny!

The motion detector works a bit better in my opinion. The batteries are on the back instead of underneath the lid so they are easier to replace. The opening on the lid is slightly larger also which is a plus. It came in perfect condition also.

This is the best trashcan I have ever owned. It's stainless steel which means it is easy to clean and looks clean. Every plastic kitchen trash can I have ever had looks dirty within three weeks and continues to look dirty until you replace it. The trash bag is easy to remove and replace. You drop the bag in and slide a ring over the lip to hold it in place. The sensor opens and closes the lid so you never touch it. And it looks clean!! I've had it two months and it is still spotless.
