   I have a little pond that my husband dug last summer and we have eight happy little gold fish that survived the winter. Spring came and I noticed the fishes never came up anymore, not even at feeding time. I wonder whether they were all gone. Then we realized the water got so dark what we couldn't see anything! I searched and found this product. Last Wednesday we dropped four table spoons in the pond and it got clearer and clearer by day, and I could finally see my fish again and even the lily pads growing at the bottom of the pond! I usually do not leave reviews but I feel I owe Amazon one this time. Just look at the after and before photos! This thing is definitely a keeper!

I've procrastinated too long in buying an algaecide, for two reasons: One, we have a huge frog living in our pond, who is here year after year; and two, our pond was built by the previous home owner, & no one knows how many gallons it is. So I hesitated in using something incorrectly and killing our frog. Most of reviews were really good on this product, that is advertised as safe for wildlife. So I took a chance. I may be under-dosing just a tad, to be on the safe side, but my pond is clear now, and my frog is fine!!! Plus we have squirrels, lizards, & who knows what else drinking out of it, & I haven't found anyone who has died. I'll always use this now.

   I have used this brand and solution in my pond for 2 years now, love it! Safe for my fish and all our frogs. Takes a few days to start working at the beginning of each summer but it really does clear everything up so well and my waterfall pumps no longer struggle to pull water. A bit pricey as I have to use a good bit of it for a medium sized pond but I highly recommend using this in tandem with the sludge destroyer. Great results.

I have never had good results until using this. Just a small capful and waited a day and you could see all the way to the bottom (about 24"). It is crystal clear!

   Easy to use, does not hurt fish or plants (at recommended dosage), I had to keep applying every 2 or 3 weeks to keep blanket weed and string algae down during the summer. We have not had (so far) green water algae, so I don't know how it controls that. We have about a 3000 gallon water feature, with lots of water plants & gold fish in North Idaho.

   My pond is about 2000 gallons and has a stream with waterfall leading to it about 25 feet back. There was string algae growing from the waterfalls and along the stream sticking to rocks and in 2 of the smaller ponds along the way and ALL over my big pond! It grew and multiplied like a monster everyday for 2 weeks. I finally realized that me pulling it out would not get rid of it, and bought Algaefix after reading all the reviews. My garden and ponds were going to be in the town annual Pond Tour the next day and I was so scared to use anything for fear it would kill my waterlilies. But the algae was getting so bad that I had to try... the night before the tour! Well, long story short ~ it worked like a miracle! I did add extra aeration like the directions suggestion and I could see why. The chemicals cloud up and the water gets thick in some areas but the next day it was back to normal with most of the algae gone. By the second day it was totally gone. I was totally amazed because, seriously everything was covered in the stuff and now I can't find one strand of it!
