   The girth that I measured of my cats fit in the range of M posted by seller but I find I have to return and get S instead... Cats are truly liquid. So the range is based on the length of the Velcro. But there are adjustable straps attached to the vest which is pretty helpful. My cat succeeded in escaping it when I was leading him from in front. The whole thing fell from his head and shoulders and turned inside out. My cat is a real escaper. And yes. It takes some time for cats to get used to wearing it. I know dogs have a lot less of a problem form my own experience tho.

   My cat measured 20” in the chest, I ordered the XL. It fits great. I like that it’s mesh and very lightweight, comes with a leash. Can’t beat the price. I opened it up and laid it on the ground, I put my cats front paws in the holes and grabbed the sides and velcroed it. It was super quick, super easy- I’ve had other harnesses that were traumatic for both of us lol. I might buy another for my smaller cat- she doesn’t like to go out as much as my Tyberian.

   We purchased this harness because we were concerned about the cat trying to bolt out of the truck during our cross country move. Based on the measurements provided, the cat was right in between being a small and medium so I went with medium. It was way too big. If you are in between sizes, I would suggest sizing down. I was able to return the medium for a full refund and the small fits his perfectly! The harness is lightweight and easy to put on the cat. Comes with a leash in a matching color. Very nice item.    Purchased this for my Russian blue cat who is 28.5” long and weights 16 pounds. He’s just a big breed. At fist Boris was confused, thinking he didn’t have rear legs and would drag himself across the floor. After a little while, and constant lift him up he realized “ hey I can walk and my mama can now take me for a walk”. We use the harness when we travel and Boris needs to “do his thing”. Very please with the quality of the harness, especially with his Velcro closure AND clasp for added security. We purchased the medium which is for 14.5”-16.2”. Boris is just about 16” chest and it fits purrfectly allowing for 2 finger spacing.

   My cat Charles begged to go outside so we purchased this to try. At first putting it on he flopped to the ground. Once carried outside he started exploring. Its very secure and never worried about it coming off or him getting out of it. Charles was around 12lbs at the time if purchase and he seems to be outgrowing this size. Definitely a great purchase
