The lighted ball is the icing on the cake, just hilarious. And all three balls have cut out faces and jingles in them. The attached feather teaser is great as well.    Thats the gist of if, it is a good toy for cats. My cat is a lot more laid back and doesnt play much, but every so often ill hear this thing in another room being batted at, so its a good toy in her books as well. The only thing to keep in mind is with these kinds of toys, it is jarringly loud if used in the middle of the night, and will most certainly wake you up, but during the day it is bearable.

   So my cat definitely knows she's cute playing with this. I will catch her playing around sometimes, but most often it's when I'm in the kitchen and she wants snacks. My can is 14 years old, and I think this would go over best with kittens. We recently moved and I thought she might enjoy this new toy in the new environment. She absolutely loves the feather spring; it may be better if it wasn't standing straight up but that's helps us play with her too.
