This gives you a loop like horse reins making it easy to guide the dog and reduce pulling. Our walks are much more enjoyable now.

I use it on the end of a retractable leash, so I haven't experienced any pulling or strain on the clips. I don't know if it would be ok for large dogs running in different directions. It's 8 ft total with a ring in the center.

   This is a well-made & heavy duty leash. I like that it has a lot of adjustments to use with my pup's harness. The only drawback is the heaviness of the leash. Even though it says it can be used with small dogs, it does tend to be a bit heavy for my Havanese.
