The 1.6 is thin enough and strong enough as a second night guard so you don't eat into the other night guard while still comfortable and allowing you to breathe (two big ones block a good portion of your airway). This is the first one to not cut into my gums and not break away and have me choking / eating plastic all night!!

My dog ate my dentist made night guard from my 20's and I went without one for over a year…I had been in so much pain couldn't find any other one like my dentist made one and I no longer had insurance but they still had my teeth mold but wanted over $300 for the guard! This is the EXACT if NOT BETTER than the one the dentist made me! You won't regret it and spring for the case it's really nice! And the warranty is great too! I'm ordered another for the hubby and he no longer has dry mouth and stopped snoring! We're both sleeping better and so happy we found this product! We hope you get the same relief!

   I fit this for my bottom teeth within 10 minutes, even counting one mistake which required re-heating. They rub on the front of my gums a little so will either shave a little off or re-soften just that part if necessary, but any tray will require a break-in period so will wait until I can't stand it. Re-softening just a part is simple.
