   I just turned 40 and have irritatingly noticeable nose to mouth lines. I have been using otc retinol creams for the past two years, but they just weren't enough for those stubborn lines. Anyway, this is my first experience with dr pen and so far am very pleased with my glo pro. I've been using it about 4xs per week for 3 weeks and my lines seem to be fading. I use on each nose to mouth line for one minute, which admittedly may be over kill as the directions say “one minute per area”. Immediately after using I put on my retinol followed by a moisturizer. I will say that my skin has been very dry since using the glo pro, but I am thinking that my skin is still adjusting.

   This is my first experience with dr pen, and I'm glad that I decided to try dr pen. My main concern was the pain, which was the first thing I thought about when I read 'needles'. But it turn out to be an almost painless experience. And the more one uses it, the less one feels the dr pen effect. The purpose is to induce our skin to generate new collagen by pricking the skin with the dr pen. I noticed an improvement after a couple of weeks, using it every other day. I hope that after four weeks I will be able to see true changes. While the process is easy, one must keep a very strict discipline when it comes to sanitizing the tool with alcohol, before and after each use

   This Dr pen tool only adds a small red light and weak vibrations to the process. This doesn't seem to have to have much added benefit. My wife uses red light therapy for her skin in 20 minute sessions a day. The recommended 3 days a week, 60 seconds a session with this tool adds a measly 3 minutes of red light therapy a week. In other words, that's unlikely to have any effect. Nevertheless, this aside, she really likes the tool, it's easy to handle and she has noticed dramatic improvements in her skin by a three-fold treatment--light therapy, , and retin-A. This could be a painless addition to your skin care regimen. The only place she has experienced some sensitivity is on the nose, and we have read that the skin of the lips is not recommended for dr pen, as it is more fragile skin. Please read about it and use advisedly, but my wife really recommends it with those provisos.

   So this is a micro needling tool that actually does tiny little incisions into your skin to rejuvenate your skin. PAINLESS. Truly. It comes with batteries and it comes with a usb adapter to plug in the wall. You do 60 seconds to whatever areas you want to target. This one pictured is for your face. Crows feet, happy laugh lines, Forehead wrinkling, neck, and well pretty much anywhere you want to target. You get prep pads and need to make sure you face is clean. I do mine at night after I do my night time ritual but before I do my night cream. No pain at all. Its actually soothing to do and feels very cool. You do get a bottle to add isopropyl alchohol to (you must use your own and put in the bottle). Easy to use and it creates a safe way to get a more youthful look to your skin.

   Per the wife: I have been told about micro-needling for years, but never tried it. I am 56 and get Botox, facials, use a microcurrent device, and use expensive creams and serums. I am really happy that I tried this. The box comes with the device, 5 pre-pads, a bottle (empty) to put alcohol in for cleansing the device and a cord. Although it is battery operated (double As) which are included, you can also plug it in. You can use the device turned on or not - turned on there is a red light that covers the area you are working on. The box also includes directions so you know whether to use it vertically (on sides of face and neck), horizontally (under eyes and nose and forehead), etc. There are additional serums and attachments you can purchase for specific areas. After using, the face feels a little raw and is a little red. You are encouraged to use it at night and then follow with a serum (which will then penetrate the skin for effectively). It turns over and renews cells for a younger looking appearance. I am really happy with it and already see a difference. High quality. Recommended.
