   I've had low blood sugar for years but lately it was out of the norm so I decided to purchase a monitoring system. I decided on Lovia as everything seemed right - fast, easy, and accurate. I missed the fact it didn't come with batteries (so get two AAA's!) I love the carrying case it comes with. I was able to set the date/time, etc with ease. Being my first monitor, I relied on the instructions which were a bit of a struggle. Better instructions and/or a video for first timers would be helpful. However, here's a few great things: Meter will automatically come on once the test strip is inserted. If you're unsure of which end goes in the meter, there is a teeny, tiny arrow that shows on the strip (could be enhanced better). It needs very little blood and the reading is fast. First time I had a hiccup or two but it really is simple, fast, accurate and easy once you know what you're doing. I've used it for almost a week now and would recommend!

   I like this little kit it is a nice price and the case is just big enough to hold a small notebook, pen and some napkins for on the go use. It is inaccurate at times but i think that is the case for most at home readers. I can use it two times in a row and the reads are the same but sometimes its 10+ points off. Its a small discrepancy and not dangerous so not concerning in my opinion.

   This product is super easy to use, and comes with everything needed for documenting. It is very accurate. I bought this product because my son was diagnosed with prediabetes at the age of 13, and was put on medication. At age 17 he was showing no symptoms, and was taken off of the medication. I always keep an eye on any symptoms that he may be showing because a year ago his father passed away from complitations relating to diabetes. He had to have a toe removed after getting it bruised, because he ignored it. By the time he went in to see his doctor infection had already set in. He later passed away when he had to have surgery to remove the leg.

   I actually like this meter. It's easy to use and small. It uses universal lancets in the pen that's included. You do have to buy the test strips made for this one, it won't work with other universal strips. The only thing I dislike about it is that it only came with a little sack to put everything in. Doesn't hold much but it will hold minimal supplies and the meter. I just dont like that it's not a more cushioned case to keep the meter from getting banged up in my bag. I have an extra case that I'm using but due to the strips being in a bottle, I need to buy a bigger case.

   Report of a newbie: I bought this blood glucose meter because I had reason to suspect I might have recently succumbed to diabetes, and wanted to get a baseline of readings before seeing the doctor; I'd never used one before. I had very little problem following the very clear graphic instructions, though I do find all the hand washing and alcohol rubbing tedious. As for accuracy, a control test read almost dead center on the expected control range: 150, and the expected control range (when I finally found it on the test strip package!) is listed at 129-175. I did get one weird reading (001 !), but my first blood drop wasn't large enough and I actually added a little more twice before the machine grudgingly accepted it for testing, so: operator error. One possible criticism: the lancing range seems on the shallow side. I don't have particularly tough hands for a man, but I had to go to the next-to-highest range to get a modest drop from a fingertip. Possibly I'm simply not pressing hard enough, and I don't suppose I'd want them to err on the deep side. Obviously I can't compare this to any other brand.

I am terrified of needles and in fact anything that is going to prick my finger can make me run the other way.. So, I now have no choice. I have DM2 This product is amazing. I am no longer afraid to draw a little blood. It was so easy and was easy to follow directions plus they have a great video. The second thing I wanted to say was that I ordered it but it didn't come.    The first item did not work but the return was easy and there have been no problems with the second unit. I am a new prediabetic and had to adjust, but once I figured out the system and the best way to time the activation of the unit to the blood draw and how to find the right depth level, it has been very easy. I am sure there are units that can bluetooth into a regular monitoring program, but you will probably pay for it, too. For a prediabetic who only needs to monitor occasionally, I was able to download another app to monitor and things have been fine.I also want to add that the customer service follow up with the manufacturer has been very good.

   I received the meter to check my blood sugar this week. I am thrilled with the purchase. It seems to be very accurate when comparing it with the one I used previously. It is very easy to use and easy to read. I have not had any error messages causing me to waste test strips. It cames with the battery already in and the time and date already set. All I had to do was start using it. However, it did not come with any instructions. Customers who have never tested their blood sugar may need instructions. There is a very short video on YouTube for the product. I have had three other brands in the past. This is the easiest to use. Love the price of the meter and the test strips.
